Tan Kirby Davis
Tan Kirby Davis is Founder and Lead Consultant for The Kirby Resource Group (KRG), a consulting and training organization that specializes in Organizational Development, Diversity, Inclusion and Workforce Engagement. The firm has been in business since 1997 and has successfully worked with Fortune 500 companies, academic institutions, municipalities, non-profit organizations, and health care organizations. KRG engages a select group of highly seasoned professionals to provide high impact KRG consulting, training and products for our Clients.
Tan is seasoned human resources professional with over 30 years of corporate and consulting experience in designing, developing and implementing high impact initiatives in leadership development, change management, strategic diversity, inclusion and workforce engagement. Her background includes 20 years of corporate leadership experience with a division of the Sara Lee Corporation, where she successfully managed corporate training, talent management, employee relations, and was appointed the division’s chief diversity strategist to lead a comprehensive initiative for a global workforce of over 20,000 employees. She reported to the division’s President and Chief Operating Officer. She was also appointed to lead the division’s 1997 Olympics’ Employee Program. She transitioned her corporate experience into a successful consulting business.
KRG has helped Clients successfully rollout company-wide diversity educational programs, launch and facilitate diversity and inclusion Employee Resource Groups, designed and delivered leadership development and mentoring programs, facilitated culture surveys, focus groups and a host of other consultative and training services. She has developed and facilitated staff retreats and conferences using innovative approaches to learning and teambuilding. Her firm was recognized by Working Women’s Magazine for Entrepreneurial Excellence for the Southeastern Region. She also served as the Associate Director for the Diversity Strategy Consortium, whose members included Sara Lee Corporation, Pitney-Bowes, Corning Incorporated, Hallmark Cards, Rohm & Haas, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, Michelin, NA, Avon Products, Hanes Brands and The Vanguard Group.
Tan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Winston-Salem State University. She is a contributing author of Aging Education, an instructional book published by University Press. She received a certification from the International Human Resources Executive Program at Cornell University and has extensive advanced training. She is a nationally sought after facilitator, workshop presenter and keynote speaker.
